CONGRESSMAN PAPPAS’ WORST POLICIES LEADING THE WAY ARE VOTES AND POSITIONS ON TAXES, SPENDING, AND ENERGY PRICES
Big picture, this race is about two things: who is an independent voice standing up for the people of New Hampshire—and who has a message that wins with economic voters focused on cost of living, taxes, and wasteful spending. On both counts, Chris Pappas has a long and clear record on the wrong side.
-
PAPPAS BACKED TAX HIKES THAT HIT THE MIDDLE CLASS
Pappas backs higher costs for working families. He supported a gas tax hike, voted to raise the death tax, and even cosponsored legislation that would cost the average New Hampshire worker about $1,000 more per year—all to fund more government spending [1]. Granite Staters are already feeling the pressure. Pappas wants to make it worse.
-
PAPPAS VOTED TO RAISE ENERGY COSTS ON NEW HAMPSHIRE FAMILIES
At a time when New Hampshire families are struggling with home heating costs, Pappas voted for over $100 billion in new energy taxes [2]. That means higher heating costs, higher gas prices, and more strain on family budgets.
-
PAPPAS VOTED FOR WASTEFUL SPENDING AND GOVERNMENT EXCESS
Pappas voted for the $1.9 trillion spending bill that became a symbol of government excess—funding wasteful projects and even sending taxpayer checks to prisoners, including the Boston Marathon bomber [3]. That’s not just spending—that’s reckless.
-
PAPPAS SUPPORTED TRILLIONS IN SPENDING THAT FUELED INFLATION
Pappas repeatedly backed trillions in new spending that helped drive the worst inflation in 40 years—raising the cost of groceries, housing, and gas [4]. Families are paying the price for his votes.
-
PAPPAS VOTES WITH PELOSI AND SCHUMER—NOT NEW HAMPSHIRE
Pappas consistently votes with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer on inflation-driving legislation that raises energy costs. While Pelosi was Speaker, Pappas voted with her 222 out of 223 times—siding with Washington Democrats instead of New Hampshire.
