John Sununu announced today that he raised nearly $1.7 million for his campaign across all authorized committees since announcing his campaign on October 22nd.
In the campaign’s abbreviated 10-week quarter Sununu outraised Scott Brown’s entire first quarter as a candidate by nearly 40 percent in almost three fewer weeks. Sununu received support from almost 7,000 donors, more than 5 times as many donors as his primary opponent.
“I’m grateful for this strong showing of support in such a short amount of time,” Sununu said. “Our campaign, laser-focused on jobs, the economy and affordability, is resonating across the state. We are building a strong grassroots base that will help us have the resources to win against the Democrats’ hand-picked candidate, and bring the New Hampshire Way to Washington.”
In fact, Sununu outraised Pappas on a daily basis when looking at the two candidates' first quarters as a candidate, when Pappas reported raising $1.8 million over nearly the entire quarter. In the current quarter, despite Chris Pappas being an incumbent Congressman, Sununu nearly matched his fundraising on a daily basis, accounting for Sununu’s entry three weeks into the beginning of this fundraising quarter.
“It’s clear our campaign is the only one capable of going toe-to-toe with Chuck Schumer’s money machine,” Sununu added.
Poll after poll has shown John Sununu as the only Republican candidate who can win in November as numerous prominent supporters of Scott Brown have switched to endorse Sununu.
