New Hampshire Republican Senate candidate John Sununu called on Democrat Representative Chris Pappas to finally vote to reopen the federal government.

Last night, a bipartisan vote passed in the U.S. Senate that was brokered by both of New Hampshire's current Democratic Senators. The National Journal reported that Chris Pappas is one of only two major Democratic candidates who have refused to disclose a position on the legislation.

“It’s time for Chris Pappas to put New Hampshire first and vote to end the longest government shutdown in history,” Sununu said. “For too long, he has put partisanship ahead of what’s best for Granite Staters, but now he is out of excuses. Support reopening the government right now instead of siding with Chuck Schumer.”

According to Axios, Senator Shaheen at a press conference said: “When I talk to my constituents in New Hampshire, you know what they say to me? They say, 'Why can't you all just work together to address the problems that are facing this country?'"
